For the United States Grand Prix in Austin, Louis Vuitton unveils a bespoke Trophy Trunk and presents a specially designed creative signature for on-track signage.

This is where heritage meets speed, and where Louis Vuitton’s mastery of craftsmanship intersects with the drama of motorsport.

The connection of Louis Vuitton to travel and engines is more than symbolic — it is historical. As early as 1897, Georges Vuitton designed trunks suited for motor travel, adapting the Maison’s craftsmanship to the new era of mobility.

Over time, the brand’s identity — strong in leather, canvas, hardware, detailing — has naturally aligned with the world of racing.

In 2025, Louis Vuitton enters a long-term commitment with Formula 1®, marking a new era in luxury sporting partnerships. Part of that presence includes the creation of custom trunks to house the championship’s trophies, and a refreshed visual identity designed explicitly for trackside activation. These efforts reinforce the narrative that victory travels in Louis Vuitton.

The trunk destined for the United States Grand Prix in Austin is no exception: wrapped in Monogram canvas, it features a bold “V” motif symbolizing both “Victory” and “Vuitton. / Photo via Louis Vuitton

The Bespoke Trophy Trunk: From Atelier to Podium

The trunk destined for the United States Grand Prix in Austin is no exception: wrapped in Monogram canvas, it features a bold “V” motif symbolizing both “Victory” and “Vuitton,” and is accented with race-inspired color cues that resonate with the Grand Prix’s identity.

But the trunk is not mere ornamentation — it is a functional sculpture. It protects, honors, and frames the trophy in a way that befits the moment. The juxtaposition of luxe materials with motorsport energy exemplifies Louis Vuitton’s ability to balance tradition and innovation.

This Austin iteration is part of a sequence: over multiple Grands Prix, Louis Vuitton has presented bespoke trunks, each subtly adapted to the circuit or national flair, yet always grounded in the Maison’s visual codes. This continuity, with variation, is central to the brand’s narrative in motorsport.

A New Creative Signature on the Circuit

Complementing the Trophy Trunk is Louis Vuitton’s specially designed creative signature for on-track signage. At the Austin circuit, the brand’s visuals — its monogram, its “V” emblem — will appear across the race venue in a tailored form, bridging the design language of fashion with the kinetic language of speed with a bull as main element.

This integration ensures that Louis Vuitton is not just a visitor on the circuit, but part of the ambiance and identity of the race weekend.

By doing this, the Maison transforms signage into storytelling — every banner, wall, and billboard becomes an extension of the trunk’s design philosophy: bold, structured, rooted in heritage, yet alive with the rhythm of racing.
