Nike has once again proven its ability to transcend sport by teaming up with Eastside Golf for the release of the highly anticipated “Take Flight” collection.

This marks the second official collaboration between the two brands, solidifying their shared vision of pushing golf beyond its traditional boundaries. More than footwear, this collaboration represents a cultural statement—where athletic performance, streetwear aesthetics, and community values come together.

The Vision Behind “Take Flight”

The Eastside Golf x Nike partnership is driven by a desire to redefine what golf represents today. 

 

According to Eastside Golf co-founder Earl Cooper, the collection is about resilience, ambition, and the pursuit of new heights both on and off the course. 

 

Inspired by the vastness of the sky, “Take Flight” symbolizes limitless opportunity and the blending of cultures that shape modern sports.

The collection will be showcased at Eastside Golf’s New York City pop-up at Shopify NY from September 25–28 before its official release on October 2. 

 

Visitors will have the chance to preview not only the footwear but also Eastside Golf’s limited-edition Ryder Cup line, apparel, and accessories.

Inside the Footwear Collection

At the heart of the launch are two innovative sneakers that highlight Nike’s dedication to craftsmanship and Eastside Golf’s cultural influence:

 

Nike Air Max Plus G “Take Flight” – A bold reimagination of the streetwear classic, this golf-ready version features spikeless integrated traction and a sky-blue colorway. Hidden details include the cage design spelling out “Eastside” and “Golf,” making it both a performance shoe and a collectible piece. Retail price: $205.

Nike Victory Tour 4 “Take Flight” – A premium spiked shoe crafted for maximum performance on the course. With a sleek sky-inspired finish, chrome accents, and a carbon plate sole, it offers stability, style, and sophistication. Retail price: $210.

 

These designs embody the fusion of sport and lifestyle, performing equally well on the course and in urban environments.

Eastside Golf: Redefining the Sport

Founded by Morehouse College teammates Olajuwon Ajanaku and Earl Cooper, Eastside Golf has become a force of cultural change in the sport.

 

Known for its iconic swingman logo—a young Black man in a sweatshirt, gold chain, and jeans mid-backswing—the brand challenges stereotypes by encouraging authenticity and individuality.

 

With partnerships spanning Nike, Jordan Brand, the NBA, MLB, PGA of America, and global retailers, Eastside Golf continues to expand golf’s relevance worldwide.

Their collaborations not only produce highly sought-after sneakers but also inspire a new generation to view the game through a more inclusive lens.
