Cartier Celebrates 100 Years of Trinity with an Immersive Experience in Miami

Cartier concludes its year-long celebration of the Trinity collection with a unique experience in Miami’s Design District, following a series of international events.

The Maison Cartier kicked off the centennial in February 2024 in New York, continuing with celebrations in London, Paris, Shanghai, Singapore, and Tokyo. 

 

The Miami event, which will take place from Wednesday, December 4 to Sunday, December 8, marks the conclusion of this global homage to the iconic collection.

 

The Trinity 100 experience offers visitors a historical journey, taking them from the present back to 1924 when Louis Cartier designed the first Trinity ring, featuring three intertwined bands of platinum, rose gold, and yellow gold. 

 

The experience is presented across five unique spaces, each telling the story of Trinity and its importance in Cartier’s history. Among them is a room dedicated to Jean Cocteau, who popularized the collection in the 1930s with his now-iconic double-stacked pinky rings.

 Another space explores Trinity’s place in pop culture over the years. A third area honors the number three, a recurring motif in the Maison’s history and creations.

 

The immersion continues with an exploration of the collection’s precise yet poetic design, showcasing pieces from the Cartier Collection, an archive curated with over 3,000 of the Maison’s most outstanding works. 

 

Trinity’s instantly recognizable three-gold configuration has allowed the collection to be reinvented time and time again, including Cartier’s 2022 collaboration with Chitose Abe, founder and creative director of Sacai, and the introduction of the cushion shape in 2024.

 

To conclude Trinity’s 100th anniversary, Cartier will exclusively launch a series of Trinity novelties in North America on December 1.

The limited collection integrates animal motifs in five new iterations of Trinity, including a two-finger ring and a single earring. 

 

The collection references Cartier’s iconic panther bestiary, as well as the tiger and the snake. The global launch will follow on February 1, 2025.

 

After immersing themselves in the world of Trinity, visitors will have the chance to try on creations from the collection. 

 

The Trinity 100 experience will be open to the public at 23 NE 41st St, Miami, FL, from Wednesday, December 4 to Sunday, December 8, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Visitors can reserve a timeslot for free admission at www.cartier.com.
