Ferrari has officially revealed the 849 Testarossa Spider, a groundbreaking plug-in hybrid berlinetta spider that pushes the limits of open-air performance.

Designed as the successor to the SF90 Spider, this new masterpiece combines Ferrari’s iconic V8 twin-turbo engine with three electric motors, delivering an astonishing 1050 cv. This is 50 cv more than its predecessor, positioning it as one of the most powerful production Ferraris ever created.

Honoring Ferrari’s Legendary Heritage

The 849 Testarossa Spider’s name pays tribute to Ferrari’s 70-year legacy of crafting some of the world’s most iconic sports cars. With the V8 engine now revised to produce 830 cv, drivers experience unmatched acceleration and responsiveness. Paired with cutting-edge racing technology, this new model is engineered for enthusiasts who demand both speed and elegance.

Ferrari has integrated innovations directly inspired by motorsport. A redesigned active spoiler ensures maximum downforce, while the introduction of ABS Evo and the FIVE estimator sets a new benchmark for electronic driving controls. These advancements make the 849 Testarossa Spider the most technologically advanced open-top Ferrari to date.

Convertible Performance Without Compromise

One of the Spider’s standout features is its retractable hard top (RHT), which can open or close in just 14 seconds at speeds up to 45 km/h. This ensures seamless transitions between coupe and spider configurations.

A new wind catcher system reduces cabin turbulence, letting drivers enjoy Ferrari’s legendary performance while fully immersed in open-air freedom.

Performance figures are staggering:

  • Top speed: over 330 km/h
  • Acceleration: 0–100 km/h in under 2.3 seconds

An All-New Experience

Ferrari has also redefined the acoustic identity of the 849 Testarossa Spider. The revised V8 exhaust note delivers a raw yet refined sound signature, preserving Ferrari’s unmistakable harmonics. This “new sonic dimension” heightens every drive, making it as much an emotional experience as a technical one.

For the first time in Ferrari’s history, the 849 Testarossa Spider uses recycled aluminum secondary alloys in its engine castings. This reduces CO₂ emissions per kilogram by up to 80%, cutting overall emissions by 0.4 tons per car. It’s a bold move toward sustainability without compromising performance.

Bespoke Colors and Luxury Interiors

Personalization takes center stage with two exclusive exterior shades:

  • Rosso Fiammante – a modern reinterpretation of Rosso Corsa with brilliant metallic reflections.

  • Giallo Ambra – a deep amber-inspired shade with warm reddish hues.

Inside, Ferrari introduces the Giallo Siena Alcantara trim, perfectly complementing the Giallo Ambra finish. The result is a cabin that’s both sporty and serene, blending racing DNA with refined luxury.
