In the emerald landscapes of Zhejiang’s Anji County, a future icon of luxury is quietly taking shape: Anantara Anji Resort. Though originally announced with a projected completion date in 2024, the property has yet to open its doors. This liminal state—neither rumor nor reality—has elevated Anantara Anji into a destination defined by expectations, positioning it as one of the most talked-about upcoming luxury resorts in China.
More than a hospitality project, it is envisioned as an architectural and cultural statement. Designed by line+ architects, the resort embraces the organic forms of bamboo and the delicate artistry of traditional folding fans, two cultural symbols deeply rooted in Anji. The result is a project that promises to merge high-end comfort with ecological sensitivity, aligning perfectly with Anji’s reputation as China’s first National Ecological County.
