Oscar Piastri leads the drivers’ standings with six wins, while Lando Norris follows closely with five victories. The duo has achieved four consecutive one-two finishes, showcasing their exceptional performance and teamwork. 

 

Norris, the 2024 Zandvoort winner, aims for his fourth win in five races, making McLaren the favorites heading into the weekend. Their consistency and speed make them a formidable pair, capable of challenging any competitor on this demanding circuit.

Max Verstappen, the Dutch racing sensation, remains a formidable contender at his home GP. Despite a dip in form this season, Verstappen has won from pole in Zandvoort in 2021, 2022, and 2023, leading the majority of laps raced there.

 

The enthusiastic Dutch fans will be out in force once again, providing Verstappen with the motivation to deliver a standout performance. His deep familiarity with the technical corners and banked turns of the circuit gives him an edge over less experienced drivers.

Ferrari’s Challenge: Leclerc and Hamilton Eye the Podium

Ferrari faces a challenging weekend, with Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton striving to make a significant impact. Leclerc has secured valuable podiums this season, while Hamilton is eager to break his podium drought with Ferrari.

Team principal Fred Vasseur emphasizes the importance of qualifying in Zandvoort due to limited overtaking opportunities, making it crucial for Ferrari to secure strong grid positions.
