Express bag was first revealed during Nicolas Ghesquière’s Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2025 show, the handbag offers more than visual appeal—it embodies a journey through time, fashion, and functionality.
Echoes of History in Modern Form
Louis Vuitton’s story began in 1854 with handcrafted trunks designed for the elite travelers of Paris. These trunks became staples of first-class voyages.
From that legacy emerged the iconic Speedy in 1930, a bag originally called the Express. This historical footnote is now the inspiration for today’s Express bag, a fresh design rooted in heritage.
Gaston-Louis Vuitton’s Keepall also left a mark—its relaxed silhouette inspired this new bag’s functionality.
By reviving the Express name and combining elements from both Speedy and Keepall, the House returns to its roots while reinterpreting what luxury travel looks like in 2025.
