Design Miami 2025 celebrates its 20th year with an ambitious In Situ circuit—Aspen, Seoul, Paris, Miami—rewriting the rules of collectible design engagement.

Design Miami 2025 marks two dazzling decades of curatorial audacity. Now, the fair refuses to sit still: its new Design Miami. In Situ programme catapults museum-grade design into four cities, expanding beyond the familiar tented glamour of Miami Beach. By fusing boutique encounters with large-scale spectacles—and by deliberately skipping Basel—Design Miami asserts a nimble, future-minded identity.

Across Aspen’s peaks, Seoul’s Zaha Hadid–designed Dongdaemun Design Plaza, a baroque hôtel particulier in Paris, and the mainstage in Miami, 2025 promises immersive surprises, game-changing material experiments and a sharper dialogue on sustainability. The result? A year-long pilgrimage for collectors, architects and dreamers determined to witness design history in real time.

Why Is Design Miami 2025 the Must-See Collectible Design Fair?

  • Trend-Setting Laboratories – From sculptural furniture to AI-assisted lighting, each gallery booth doubles as a proof-of-concept lab, spotlighting technologies that will filter into residential and commercial projects over the next decade.

  • Sustainability at the Core – Expect modular systems, bio-based composites and circular-economy storytelling threaded through every Curio, Commission and Satellite.

Education Meets Exchange – “Design Talks” with blue-chip thinkers turn the fair into a living classroom, while the famed “Design at Large” platform (now super-sized for Paris) gives monumental statements the space they deserve.

What’s New in the 20th-Anniversary Programme?

  1. Aspen—A Day of Design (31 July)
Invitation-only salons align with ArtCrush, blending alpine air with high-altitude collecting.

  2. Seoul—Illuminated: A Spotlight on Korean Design (1–14 Sept.)
The largest In Situ activation: 14 days inside DDP, curated by Hyeyoung Cho, championing Korea’s modern-meets-ancestral design DNA.

  3. Paris—Design Miami/Paris (21–26 Oct.)
Third edition, biggest gallery roster yet, plus a pumped-up “Design at Large” for grand-scale works.

  4. Miami Beach—21st Flagship Fair (2–7 Dec.)
Curatorial Director Glenn Adamson riffs on “Make. Believe.” to connect visionary past, urgent present and speculative future.

Notably, the fair has pulled out of Basel for the first time in years—a move that spurred dealers to launch the boutique Maze Design Basel salon in a Gothic-revival church during Art Basel week.

When and Where Should You Mark Your Calendar?

  • Aspen – 31 July 2025 (one-day micro-fair)

  • Seoul – 1–14 September 2025

  • Paris – 21–26 October 2025 (preview 21 Oct.)

  • Miami Beach – 2–7 December 2025

These staggered dates encourage globe-trotting collectors to experience each cultural context on its own terms—snow-dusted mountains, neon-lit Seoul nights, Parisian grandeur and Miami’s Art Week fever.

Turning twenty, Design Miami refuses nostalgia. Instead, Design Miami 2025 sketches a bold, border-hopping blueprint that may well define the next twenty years of collectible design. Whether you’re chasing the crystalline air of Aspen, the kinetic energy of Seoul, Parisian monumentality or Miami’s electric art-week pulse, this year’s fair sequence is more than a market—it’s an evolving manifesto.
