How Tennis Prize Money Works & Top Earners of 2025

Prize money in tennis grows significantly as players progress—from tens of thousands for early-round exits to millions for champions.

Singles competitions typically offer larger payouts than doubles, but playing both can increase total earnings. Beyond money, players enjoy luxe amenities at Grand Slam events, such as top-tier training facilities and exclusive hospitality zones that enhance performance.

Leading the 2025 prize money rankings are Carlos Alcaraz with $6.88 million, thanks to his French Open win and Masters titles, followed by Aryna Sabalenka with $5.92 million, and Coco Gauff with $5.55 million, boosted by her French Open triumph.

Equal Prize Money & Ongoing Challenges in Tennis

All four Grand Slams now guarantee equal prize money for men and women in singles events. However, disparities remain in many other tournaments, especially at lower tiers and in doubles competitions.

The sport continues striving for fairer prize distribution and enhanced luxe amenities to attract elite players and deliver unforgettable experiences to fans worldwide.
