As a producer on the upcoming F1 movie starring Brad Pitt (releasing on june 27th), Lewis Hamilton is deeply invested in a project that merges his two lifelong passions: storytelling and motorsports.

What began as conversations with acclaimed director Joe Kosinski and legendary producer Jerry Bruckheimer evolved into what Hamilton now proudly calls the “most authentic racing film ever made.”

When Hollywood Meets the Paddock

From the very beginning, Hamilton wasn’t a passive participant. He helped shape casting choices, discussed script details with Brad Pitt, and joined early creative meetings.

His role was hands-on and essential. “I remember meeting Brad and going through the script,” Hamilton told Formula1.com.

“Being part of the discussions with Apple and Formula 1 was surreal. Watching it come together has been one of the coolest things I’ve done.”

This F1 movie isn’t just about glitz and glamour—it’s a love letter to the sport, its people, and the adrenaline behind every lap.

For Hamilton, it was vital that the film reflect the reality of racing, down to the smallest sound and motion.

Racing Toward Authenticity

The movie is being praised for its groundbreaking access to the real F1 world.

The fictional team, APXGP, was granted permission to film during actual Grand Prix weekends, something unheard of in previous motorsport films.

Footage captured on-site will be seamlessly blended with advanced digital effects, making the fictional elements feel strikingly real.

Hamilton worked closely with the production team to ensure realism. Whether it was the specific growl of an engine in a hairpin turn or the mechanics of a high-speed crash, every detail was fine-tuned.

Sharing the Driver’s Seat with the World

What excites Hamilton most is how the F1 movie will allow fans to experience the visceral intensity of the sport.

“There are only 20 of us who do this for a living,” he says. “This film puts the audience in our position—right behind the wheel.”

Hamilton believes the film will ignite a new level of appreciation for the sport.

“You’ll feel the hunger to win, the speed, the rivalry. It’s not just a film—it’s an experience.”

His words reflect a sense of pride and anticipation, suggesting this project is more than entertainment.

The Final Countdown

The racing world—and Hollywood—is watching closely.

With Brad Pitt as the lead, real Grand Prix footage, and Hamilton steering the narrative from behind the scenes, the F1 movie is shaping up to be a landmark film for motorsport fans and newcomers alike.

Hamilton’s involvement ensures authenticity, and his passion fuels every frame.

It’s not just a story about cars—it’s about human ambition, risk, and the pursuit of greatness.
