Known for its unconventional approach to showcasing contemporary design, Alcova continues to challenge traditional exhibition formats by integrating historic architecture with groundbreaking creativity.
A Larger Footprint in Varedo
For Milan Design Week 2025, Alcova will expand its presence with two additional venues in Varedo, a northern suburb of Milan.
While the iconic Villa Bagatti Valsecchi and Villa Borsani will continue as key location.
This year’s edition introduces an old factory and former greenhouses, offering new immersive spaces for exhibitors and visitors alike.
According to Joseph Grima, co-founder of Alcova alongside Valentina Ciuffi, this expansion reflects the team’s ongoing commitment to uncovering unexpected beauty in Varedo:
“In 2025, we are returning to Varedo, but not just to revisit familiar spaces. This year, we are broadening our scope. We believed we had already discovered the unexpected beauty of this region, but we realized there was even more to explore.”
By integrating these new locations, Alcova strengthens its reputation as an incubator of design experimentation, offering a unique dialogue between historical settings and contemporary creativity.
