Fans will be able to access this exclusive area during the Australian Formula 1 GP by downloading the Atlassian Williams Racing App and compete for the fastest lap times on the Albert Park Grand Prix circuit in state-of-the-art Esports simulators.

Williams Racing, in collaboration with Kraken, is set to welcome fans to its Fan Zone during the highly anticipated Australian Grand Prix race week. 

 

The immersive experience officially opens its doors tomorrow morning, offering a range of activities designed to engage motorsport enthusiasts.

Access to this exclusive area requires fans to download the Atlassian Williams Racing App, sign up for their Driver Card, and present it to a team member upon arrival. Through the app, attendees can stay informed about the latest event details and gain additional opportunities to win exciting prizes.

Throughout the week, visitors will have the chance to:

 

Attend Q&A sessions featuring Williams Racing F1 driver Carlos Sainz, Williams Racing Academy driver Luke Browning, and Team Principal James Vowles.

 

Compete for the fastest lap times at the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit on cutting-edge Esports simulators while also admiring the FW47 show car up close.

Engage with Kraken, the team’s presenting partner, to explore their Exchange, Grid Pass, and new wallet, as well as participate in interactive games like Reaction Ring, Plinko, and Buzzer Game for a chance to win prizes.

 

Discover Williams Racing’s partner activations, including Komatsu’s haul truck simulator, which allows fans to experience the operation of one of the world’s largest machines. Additional activities include testing reflexes in the Career Catch Challenge, where participants can grab fluttering career cards to win exclusive prizes, or taking part in a photo contest for more opportunities to win.

Challenge their reaction times on the Batak machine, an interactive test of agility and reflexes.

Must-see fan zone

Beyond these experiences, fans will have multiple chances to win prizes at Fed Square throughout the week, including:

 

The Driver Combine Competition, which runs daily at 6 PM from Monday to Saturday. Participants will compete in a series of physical and mental challenges to test their racing abilities. This event will be streamed live on williamsf1.com and through the official app.

A virtual racing challenge, where fans can set a lap time each morning on a state-of-the-art simulator. The fastest competitors will be invited to participate in a grand final at 1 PM, with the event being broadcast live worldwide.

 

This year’s Formula 1 season opener marks a historic moment as the Australian Grand Prix returns as the first race of the year for the first time since 2019. With an expected audience of over 450,000 attendees, the energy and excitement in Melbourne will be at an all-time high.

 

To enhance the race week experience, the event organizers have curated a comprehensive guide to the city, ensuring visitors can fully enjoy its rich sports culture, culinary scene, and vibrant coffee tradition.
