What is the Event and its Purpose?

The Grand Dîner du Louvre’s main goal is to raise funds to support the museum’s cultural initiatives and preservation projects.

The evening offers an exquisite dinner prepared by renowned chefs, and guests are invited to explore exclusive exhibitions.

In its inaugural edition in 2025, the event marked the opening of the “Louvre Couture” exhibition.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell and actress Keira Knightley were also in attendance, adding further glamour to the evening.

Additionally, singer Doechii made her debut at the gala in a stunning golden Valentino dress and performed live.

While the Grand Dîner du Louvre is not the official opening of Paris Fashion Week, it serves as a significant precursor to the season, bringing together some of the most influential figures in the industry.

The 2025 gala took place during the fall/winter runway shows, creating a perfect intersection between art and fashion.

Furthermore, the opening of the “Louvre Couture” exhibition enhanced this connection by showcasing haute couture pieces within the iconic setting of the Louvre Museum.

A Glimpse into the 2025 Gala: Record-Breaking Success

The Grand Dîner du Louvre, the flagship event of Paris Fashion Week in March 2025, not only garnered media attention comparable to that of the Met Gala (which inspired its concept) but also raised an impressive 1.4 million euros for the museum.

The event, held on the evening of March 4th, was inspired by the colors of the “Louvre Couture: Art Objects, Fashion Objects” exhibition and made possible through the support of its founding partner, Visa Infinite.

The evening saw over 350 guests gathered for a lavish dinner, organized by Michelin-starred chef Anne-Sophie Pic in the Cour Marly, located at the heart of the museum.

Philanthropic Impact

The success of this first edition, organized by the Louvre Museum in collaboration with the Shortcut agency and Lucien Pagès.

Included in the calendar of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, guarantees the event’s return in March 2026.

The guest list was filled with corporate executives, creators, and artistic directors from major fashion houses.

To ensure broad media coverage, many prominent figures from the worlds of fashion, cinema, and music attended.

Some of the standout personalities included Anna Wintour, John Galliano, Rick Owens, Michèle Lamy, Gigi Hadid, and Aliocha Schneider.

Intersection of Fashion and Art

The aim of both the exhibition and the gala is not only to highlight fashion as an artistic expression but also to foster philanthropy.

To date, over a million euros have been raised to support the Louvre’s cultural missions, ensuring that art and fashion will continue to inspire future generations.

Despite its exclusivity, key moments from the evening will be shared via the Louvre’s official channels and on the social media accounts of participating designers and brands.

Major fashion and cultural outlets will also be covering the event, further cementing the Grand Dîner du Louvre as one of the most highly anticipated and talked-about events of the year.
