“At Waldorf Astoria Residences New York, we’re thrilled to offer a lifestyle that combines the luxury of private amenities with exceptional views of Park Avenue, all above the legendary Waldorf Astoria New York hotel”, he said.

Also, Zotoff added that when the hotel reopens in the spring of 2025, residents will not only have access to exclusive, high-end amenities but will also benefit from special privileges at the hotel, such as a 30,000-square-foot spa and an array of fine dining options.

Who built the Waldorf Astoria New York?

The original Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York was built by the Waldorf family, led by William Waldorf Astor, and opened in 1893.

It was designed by architects Henry J. Hardenbergh and his firm, which also designed other iconic buildings like the Plaza Hotel.

The original structure was located on Fifth Avenue and was later demolished in 1929 to make way for a larger building at its current location on Park Avenue.

The current Waldorf Astoria New York, a 47-story skyscraper, was completed in 1931 and was designed by the architectural firm Schultze & Weaver

The building became a symbol of luxury and grandeur, known for its Art Deco style.
