Pegasus World Cup Day at Gulfstream Park marks the winter season’s first monumental horse racing and wagering event.

Located in Hallandale Beach, Florida, between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, Gulfstream Park will host the  World Cup on Saturday, January 25, 2025.

The highlight of the day, the Pegasus World Cup Invitational Stakes, offers a $3 million Grade 1 purse and brings together the best older horses in training. This event shines in January, a typically quiet month on the Grade 1 racing calendar.

As one of the most prestigious days in Thoroughbred racing, Pegasus World Cup Day features seven graded stakes races with purses exceeding $5 million. The centerpiece is the race, a race for horses aged four and older, covering 1 1/8 miles on the main track, making it a showdown of national significance.
