After this Masters 1000 tournament, the season winds down with two ATP 250 events in Belgrade and Metz, followed by the prestigious Nitto ATP Finals in Turin for the top eight players.

As the third major tennis event in Paris this year, the Paris Masters follows the French Open (held in May-June) and the Olympic Games (July-August), both of which took place on the outdoor clay courts of Roland Garros. This Masters 1000 tournament, however, shifts to the indoor hard courts of Bercy Arena, which also hosted gymnastics, basketball, and trampoline events during the Paris Olympics.

The competition kicks off on Monday, October 28, with the first round, culminating in the final on November 3, where 1,000 ATP ranking points are on the line. Although Novak Djokovic has withdrawn, the tournament features a packed lineup with 27 of the top 30 players competing, making it a high-stakes event in the lead-up to Turin, with four ATP Finals spots still up for grabs.

All eyes on Paris

Jannik Sinner enters the tournament in stellar form, having reached four consecutive finals, including titles in Cincinnati, the U.S. Open, and Shanghai. Already securing his position as the world No. 1 at the end of this season, Sinner aims to finish his breakthrough year on a high note.

However, he faces a challenging path, potentially needing to overcome Ben Shelton, former Paris champion Holger Rune, and either Taylor Fritz or Alex de Minaur just to reach the semifinals.

Elsewhere in the top half of the bracket, Andrey Rublev is fighting to hold on to the crucial eighth spot in the ATP race. Rublev is slated to face Francisco Cerundolo in the second round, with Stefanos Tsitsipas potentially awaiting him in the round of 16, followed by a likely quarterfinal against Alexander Zverev. For Tsitsipas, a tournament victory in Paris is necessary to enter the top eight.

In the bottom half of the draw, Carlos Alcaraz enjoys a favorable route—at least through the early rounds. The second-seeded Spaniard could encounter Tommy Paul in the quarterfinals and Turin hopeful Casper Ruud in the last eight.
