Following the recent inauguration of its new Missoni Resort Club space at the Rocco Forte Hotels’ Verdura Resort in Sicily, Missoni announces a collaboration with Malfy Gin to create a limited edition of its Malfy Gin Rosa.

This special bottle, developed under the direction of Missoni Home creative director Alberto Caliri, has been personalized with the brand’s iconic zig-zag pattern and silver details.

While the gin itself retains its original formula – with a characteristic pink color thanks to grapefruit – its presentation is complemented by a collectible gift box.

The limited edition will be available from this month in Italy, the United Kingdom, Greece and the global travel retail channel, priced at 55 euros.

Malfy Gin, which captures the sunny spirit of the Amalfi Coast, is distilled in Italy using ingredients such as hand-selected juniper berries, Sicilian lemons and oranges, and local pink grapefruit.

The brand belongs to The Absolut Company, an integral part of Pernod Ricard, the second largest wine and spirits group in the world.

Murielle Dessenis, global marketing vice president for gins at Pernod Ricard, said the collaboration with Missoni “is not just about fashion or spirits, but about bringing together two like-minded brands that celebrate the best that Italy has to offer.”

“We share the same DNA and we know that this is the perfect collaboration for our audience, passionate about fashion and looking to impress with an effortless style.”

The company’s gin division, led by Beefeater Gin and including brands such as Monkey 47 and the ultra-premium Japanese Ki No Bi, seeks to differentiate its portfolio and position Malfy Gin as a lifestyle brand, particularly linked to the aperitivo ritual and the “golden hour”.

The Absolut Group also has divisions dedicated to other spirits, such as Absolut vodka, tequila (Olmeca and Avión), mezcal and liqueurs (Malibu and Kahlúa), among others.

For its part, Missoni had already lent its distinctive zig-zag pattern to Italian sparkling wine Ferrari Trento and, previously, to Disaronno liqueur for a charity project.

Following in the footsteps of other Italian fashion houses such as Moschino, Versace, Roberto Cavalli and Etro, Missoni continues to take its design stamp beyond the catwalk.

The Origins of an Iconic Brand

Missoni was born in 1946 by Ottavio Missoni and his wife Rosita. After meeting in Varese, Italy, their passion for fashion led them to found a small textile company.

Their innovative spirit and experimental use of knitwear, along with the vibrant colors and geometric patterns that would become their hallmark, catapulted them to success.

A Whirlwind of Colors and Patterns

Missoni’s creations are characterized by their explosion of colors and eye-catching patterns, especially the zig-zag, which has become a symbol of the brand.

The Italian house uses innovative knitting techniques to create unique and textured garments that defy fashion conventions.
