Garden of the Soul emerges in Medellín as a refined yoga and wellness interior centered on perceptual calm.
The project was conceived by Estudio DEDÓS as an exploration of light, rhythm, and emotional balance.
Rather than dominating the space, illumination quietly supports introspection and mindful movement.
This interior was designed to align bodily awareness with spatial perception.
Light becomes a mediator between architecture, materiality, and inner focus. Every decision responds to wellbeing, not spectacle.
Lighting as a Sensory Framework
In Garden of the Soul, lighting is the primary architectural language.
The strategy relies on layers that interact without visual conflict. Soft ambient light establishes serenity across the interior.
Indirect illumination enhances spatial depth while avoiding harsh contrasts.
Carefully controlled accents guide attention without interrupting practice. The result feels calm, continuous, and emotionally grounded.
Glare control was treated as essential, not optional.
Warm color temperatures reduce visual fatigue during prolonged sessions. Transitions remain smooth, encouraging sensory comfort throughout the day.
