On November 7, The Wanderers Club in Wellington, Florida, transformed into a stage where high-goal polo met refined lifestyle during Luster Polo’s thrilling preseason match against San Ignacio/Kaluz. More than just a competition, the event offered guests an immersive glimpse into the aspirational world of elite polo—complete with champagne toasts, gourmet cuisine, and equestrian elegance under the Florida sun.

The Match: A Victory Sealed in the Final Minute

In a pulse-quickening display of precision and grit, Luster Polo (White Team) edged out San Ignacio/Kaluz (Blue Team) with a 10–9 victory after four intense chukkers. The decisive moment came in the final minute when Eugenio Ferrari netted the winning goal from the back position, capping a dramatic finish officiated by referee George Olivas and energized by live commentary from Cale Newman.

Luster’s triumph was powered by standout performances: team captain Fernando Maciel Talavera orchestrated play with three goals and earned recognition for his leadership, while Norberto Quirno Acosta led scoring with an impressive five-goal outing. Marcos Fanucchi added two goals, and Talavera’s mount, Hendrix, was named Best Pony of the Match—a tribute to the harmony between rider and horse that defines the sport.

Culinary excellence was central to the experience.  Lobstermania offered an exquisite buffet elevating the afternoon. Highlights included creamy crab corn chowder, a whole roasted hog, fresh Maine lobster, vibrant seafood paella, and a decadent maple pecan pie—all paired with chilled champagne and craft cocktails. The menu reflected both exquisiteness and sophistication, mirroring the ethos of the Luster brand.
