World Architecture Festival 2025 will be held from November 12 to 14, the Miami Beach Convention Center will transform into the epicenter of architectural dialogue and creativity.

Architects, designers, and thought leaders from every corner of the globe will converge in Florida for three days of live competition, bold ideas, and cultural exchange.

The festival, often described as the “Oscars of architecture,” celebrates innovation, sustainability, and emotional storytelling through design.

This edition will explore how built environments move both hearts and minds—balancing technical precision with human emotion.

The Theme: The Power of “Hearts and Minds”

The chosen theme, “Hearts and Minds,” underscores the duality of design: its ability to be both rational and poetic.

Keynote speakers, panel discussions, and masterclasses will challenge the notion that architecture is purely functional.

Instead, the World Architecture Festival 2025 will showcase how architecture influences well-being, behavior, and identity.

Speakers from international firms will explore architecture’s evolving responsibility amid social, environmental, and technological change.

The theme invites reflection: How can a building evoke emotion while addressing pragmatic constraints?

WAF Awards: Where Innovation Takes the Stage

At the heart of the event lies the WAF Awards 2025, the only global competition where finalists present live to an international jury.

Entries are open across 45 categories—from Completed Buildings and Interiors to Future Projects and Landscape Design.

Every project tells a story, and every finalist must defend their vision in real time before peers and critics alike.

New this year is WAF Interiors, a category dedicated to the design of yachts, ships, and floating homes.

Winners from each segment will advance to the final stage, competing for coveted titles such as World Building of the Year or Interior of the Year.

Spotlight on the Next Generation: “40 Under 40”

This year, the festival introduces an exciting new program: 40 under 40, spotlighting emerging North American architects under forty.

In partnership with The Architect’s Newspaper, this initiative gives visibility to young visionaries redefining the built landscape.

Selected designers will exhibit their work and participate in talks that highlight their unique approaches to sustainability, materials, and social impact.

A Venue as Dynamic as the Festival

The Miami Beach Convention Center—renovated by Fentress Architects and Arquitectonica—serves as the perfect host.

Its expansive halls will house seventeen live-judging rooms, a digital gallery of entries, and themed lounges inspired by water, light, and texture.

Beyond its walls, participants can explore Miami’s architectural gems through curated tours and off-site networking events
