On this occasion, Jannik  Sinner did so against none other than his familiar rival, Carlos Alcaraz (world No. 1), in the highly anticipated final of the Six Kings Slam 2025. The Italian star claimed a commanding victory, sealing the title 6–2, 6–4, in a masterclass that reaffirmed his place among the sport’s elite.

For Sinner, a former world No. 1 himself, this triumph marks not only a successful defense of the crown he earned in 2024—also against Alcaraz—but a historic milestone in tennis.

Six Million Reasons to Celebrate

By lifting the Six Kings Slam trophy once again, he secured the largest single prize purse ever awarded in the sport: an astonishing six million dollars.

The performance that led to this monumental achievement was nothing short of spectacular. Sinner broke Alcaraz’s serve three times out of nine opportunities while maintaining an unshakable rhythm on his own service games—never allowing the Spaniard a single break point.

It was a clinical display of precision, power, and poise, the kind of tennis that leaves even the best opponents without answers.

Rivalry Renewed

In their extensive head-to-head history, spanning seven victories for Sinner (five in official ATP competition and two in Six Kings Slam events), this win stands out as his most dominant. Alcaraz, known for his explosive movement and creativity, found himself on the defensive throughout the match.

Sinner dictated play with relentless aggression, firing winners from every angle and keeping his opponent from ever finding a foothold in the contest.

The victory further ignites one of tennis’s most thrilling rivalries, as both men now set their sights on the race for year-end world No. 1. The coming months promise intense battles, with the Paris Masters 1000 and the ATP Finals 2025 looming large. For Sinner, the challenge is to defend yet another title at the prestigious season finale.

To claim back-to-back Six Kings Slam championships, Sinner didn’t drop a single set across the entire tournament—a testament to his current dominance. He cruised past Stefanos Tsitsipas (6–2, 6–3), dispatched Novak Djokovic with authority (6–4, 6–2), and sealed the deal with his commanding win over Alcaraz (6–2, 6–4). Meanwhile, the third-place finish went to Taylor Fritz, who outlasted Djokovic 7–6 before the Serbian retired.
