Set in Riyadh, Six Kings Slam 2025 draws six of the world’s best male players for three electrifying days of high-stakes competition, charisma, and record-breaking payouts.

While no ATP ranking points are on the line, the incentive is undeniable. The winner of Six Kings Slam pockets an astounding $6 million, with even the early exits guaranteed $1.5 million each.

The event blends sporting drama with Hollywood-scale production, turning the tennis court into a global stage.

The Six Titans Who Rule the Court

This year’s lineup reads like a who’s who of modern tennis royalty: Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz, and Stefanos Tsitsipas.

The selection process for the Six Kings Slam is invite-only, granting organizers in Saudi Arabia the freedom to curate a dream roster.

Last year’s debut included Sinner, Alcaraz, Djokovic, Nadal, Medvedev, and Rune—a lineup that captured the world’s attention.

Tsitsipas replaces Britain’s Jack Draper this year after Draper’s season-ending arm injury. The Greek star, known for his flair and creativity, now steps into one of the most coveted exhibition slots in tennis.

His participation adds both unpredictability and tension to an already explosive draw.

How Seedings Shape the Tournament

Unlike ATP tournaments that rely on strict ranking criteria, the Six Kings Slam follows its own rules of hierarchy.

The top two seeds—Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic—receive automatic byes to the semifinals, setting the stage for strategic suspense.

Despite being the defending champion, Jannik Sinner enters unseeded, facing an uphill path that begins against Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Meanwhile, Alexander Zverev clashes with Taylor Fritz in another quarterfinal, promising a mix of power and precision.

From Tradition to Innovation: The Stage and Format

Hosted at The Venue, Riyadh’s 8,000-seat arena, the Six Kings Slam unfolds over three non-consecutive days, adhering to ATP exhibition regulations.

Matches are best-of-three sets and will stream globally on Netflix, marking the event’s second year in partnership with the platform after its debut on DAZN.

This broadcast evolution underlines Saudi Arabia’s growing ambition to merge technology, culture, and sport under its “Riyadh Season” banner.

The initiative has already hosted concerts, global festivals, and now, one of tennis’s most glamorous showcases.

The Allure Behind the Millions

For players, the financial reward is immense. To put it in perspective, the US Open men’s champion earns $5 million.

But beyond wealth, the Six Kings Slam offers freedom. Players perform without ranking pressure, delivering a relaxed yet electrifying style of tennis designed to entertain.

The result is a rare blend of skill, humor, and sportsmanship that traditional tournaments often lack.

Alcaraz, frequently featured in exhibitions worldwide, has described such events as a “breath of fresh air.”

His coach, Juan Carlos Ferrero, agrees—arguing that the showmanship of exhibitions helps top players reconnect with the joy of the game.

The Controversy Beneath the Glamour

Still, the event isn’t without scrutiny. Critics accuse Saudi Arabia of “sportswashing,” using grand sporting spectacles to reshape global perception.

Some players, like Casper Ruud, have declined invitations on ethical grounds, while others argue that the presence of global sports can foster dialogue and modernization.

For tennis, however, the Six Kings Slam remains a balancing act—between commerce, conscience, and competition.
