The House of Ayala + Friedeberg marks a groundbreaking collaboration, merging the avant-garde artistry of Pedro Friedeberg with the sartorial vision of Jorge Ayala.
This historic partnership debuts with 10 limited-edition scarves and handkerchiefs, each a wearable masterpiece drawn from Friedeberg’s six-decade career. The collection transforms his iconic motifs—from surreal calligraphy to bold digital prints—into luxurious silk, reimagined through Ayala’s “nouveau luxe” lens.
Crafted in Lake Como’s legendary ateliers, where Hermès and Dior have long produced their finest textiles, the scarves are rendered in 100% Italian silk across three formats: XL scarves, carrés, and bandanas.
Diana Friedeberg, steward of her father’s legacy, describes the project as an evolution of his art beyond the canvas, infusing fashion with Friedeberg’s unmistakable iconography.
Ayala’s presentation immersed guests in a decade of his scarf designs, positioning the collection at the intersection of architecture, fashion, and contemporary art. Each piece is a testament to Friedeberg’s enduring influence and Ayala’s commitment to redefining luxury through artistic collaboration.
