Pasticceria Marchesi 1824 was founded two centuries ago, it quickly became synonymous with exquisite pastries and the artisanal creation of the iconic Panettone.
In the early twentieth century, Angelo Marchesi reimagined the pastry shop.
He introduced coffee, refined cocktails, and aperitifs, creating a destination for convivial Milanese gatherings.
The décor—coffered ceilings, original furnishings, delicate mirrors, and Art Deco accents—turned it into one of Milan’s most evocative meeting spots.
Expansion Beyond Tradition
The original space on Via Santa Maria alla Porta, at Milan, remains a cultural treasure.
Yet, its legacy extends to Via Monte Napoleone and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, at Milan, and even Mayfair, London.
Each location preserves the elegance of the historic shop while adapting to modern tastes and design sensibilities.
