To celebrate 145 years since its founding, the brand presents Seiko’s Set of four limited-edition watches.

This commemorative release unites four of Seiko’s most defining collections. King Seiko, Prospex, Presage, and Astron each contribute one anniversary model.

Every piece features gold-toned accents inspired by engraved decorations found on Hattori’s earliest pocket watches.

Rather than relying solely on nostalgia, Seiko’s Set strikes a balance between historical references and contemporary watchmaking standards.

Each watch reflects a different chapter of the brand’s identity while sharing a unified visual language.

Presage SPB538 Captures Seiko’s Early Craftsmanship

Among Seiko’s Set, the Presage SPB538 delivers the strongest connection to the brand’s origins.

Its design draws inspiration from the 1895 Timekeeper pocket watch and the 1913 Laurel wristwatch. These historic references define the watch’s vintage character.

The white enamel dial is crafted by master artisan Mitsuru Yokosawa and his team.

Fired enamel creates a depth and warmth unattainable through modern industrial techniques. Black Roman numerals and gold-colored leaf hands enhance the classic aesthetic.

This model introduces a notable evolution within the Presage Craftsmanship Series.

For the first time, the seconds hand appears centrally rather than on a sub-dial. The applied gold Seiko logo subtly reinforces the celebratory theme.

A 35mm gold-toned stainless steel case anchors the design.

Movable lugs and an onion-shaped crown echo early wristwatches converted from pocket watches.

A box-shaped sapphire crystal ensures durability without sacrificing period accuracy.

Inside, the automatic calibre 6R51 provides a 72-hour power reserve.

The brown leather strap uses responsibly sourced leather, aligning tradition with modern responsibility.

King Seiko SJE121 Revives Decorative Heritage

The King Seiko KS1969 SJE121 interprets historical ornamentation through a contemporary lens.

Its grey gradient dial darkens toward the perimeter, creating visual depth and contrast. The engraved texture references patterns used by Kintaro Hattori himself.

Gold-toned indices and hands stand out against the muted background. The effect feels refined rather than excessive, reinforcing King Seiko’s elegant reputation.

The 39.4mm stainless steel case follows the sharp geometry of the modern KS1969 line.

Brushed and polished surfaces interact dynamically under light. A box-shaped sapphire crystal enhances clarity.

Power comes from the calibre 6L35 automatic movement.

Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, it delivers precision within a slim profile and 45-hour reserve.

Prospex SRQ059 Celebrates Chronograph Mastery

Seiko’s chronograph history reaches back to 1964 and peaks with the 1969 Speedtimer. The Prospex SRQ059 revisits that lineage with modern engineering.

A white dial features engraved motifs inspired by early pocket watches. Gold-colored hands and markers add warmth while maintaining excellent legibility.

The 42mm stainless steel case houses the in-house calibre 8R48. This automatic chronograph uses a column wheel and vertical clutch for smooth operation

MEMS-engineered components enhance reliability and accuracy.

Within Seiko’s Set, this model emphasizes performance and mechanical expertise.

Astron SSH186 Looks Toward the Future

The Astron SSH186 completes Seiko’s Set with advanced technology. It traces its DNA to the original Quartz Astron that transformed watchmaking in 1969.

A black-coated titanium case and bracelet provide lightness and durability. Gold accents appear across the hands, indices, and bezel for visual continuity.

The sapphire bezel includes gold UTC markers at positions one, four, and five. This detail subtly references the anniversary number.

Powered by the GPS Solar calibre 5X83, the watch adjusts automatically across time zones. It represents Seiko’s ongoing commitment to innovation without compromise.
