The new  Jacob & Co. Salto Ángel watch stands as a powerful tribute to nature through mechanical artistry. This exceptional creation transforms timekeeping into an emotional and cultural experience.

More than a precision instrument, the Epic X Salto Angel reflects the immensity of Venezuela’s most legendary waterfall.

Its design channels vertigo, motion, and elevation through contemporary haute horology.

Every component evokes the dramatic descent carved into ancient stone.

A Landmark Launch Above Caracas

On December 17, Caracas witnessed an unprecedented celebration of craftsmanship and identity.

The skyline became the backdrop for a historic unveiling at the Torre Gerais rooftop.

There, Gerais Jewelry and Jacob & Co. introduced the limited-edition Salto Ángel watch.

The event symbolized a dialogue between urban modernity and untouched wilderness. Guests experienced a refined atmosphere infused with cultural pride and visual spectacle.

The Epic X Salto Angel emerged as the evening’s undeniable centerpiece.

This collaboration marked a rare alliance between Venezuelan heritage and global luxury expertise.

It reinforced the idea that fine watchmaking can carry a national narrative. The result was a timepiece designed to transcend borders and expectations.

Engineering Inspired by Falling Water

At the heart of the watch lies a complex skeletonized architecture. Its open construction mirrors the transparency and continuous flow of cascading water.

The exposed Tourbillon movement introduces rhythm, balance, and controlled motion.

Housed in a commanding 44-millimeter case, the watch projects strength and precision. Its structure recalls the verticality of the Auyantepuy plateau.

Each angle reflects calculated tension and technical mastery.

The Epic X Salto Angel exists in two highly exclusive executions. Twenty-five pieces were crafted from high-resistance titanium.

Five exceptional units were produced in yellow gold for elite collectors.

An Immersive Sensory Experience

The launch event welcomed influential tastemakers, media leaders, and cultural figures.

Attendees were immersed in a multisensory narrative inspired by Venezuela’s rainforest. Soundscapes, visuals, and lighting simulated the environment surrounding the waterfall.

This immersive staging blurred boundaries between nature and metropolis. It allowed guests to emotionally connect with the watch’s origin story.

The Epic X Salto Angel was presented not as an object, but as a journey. Its presence resonated far beyond the rooftop setting.

The experience elevated perception and meaning simultaneously.

A Symbol of Tourism and National Pride

Beyond exclusivity, the Epic x Salto Ángel watch carries cultural responsibility. It functions as a global ambassador for Venezuela’s natural wonders.

Its name alone sparks curiosity and admiration worldwide.

By referencing the world’s tallest waterfall, the timepiece celebrates national identity.

It positions Venezuela within elite horological conversations. The watch invites international audiences to rediscover the country’s landscapes.

Luxury, in this context, becomes a vehicle for storytelling and tourism.

Each watch worn abroad becomes a silent invitation to explore Canaima. Heritage and innovation coexist within a single creation.

The Natural Wonder Behind the Inspiration

Salto Ángel, known as Kerepakupai Vená, rises within Canaima National Park. It descends from the Auyantepuy massif in southeastern Venezuela.

The waterfall reaches a staggering height of 979 meters (3,212 ft).

Its uninterrupted drop spans 807 meters (2,647 ft), unmatched anywhere on Earth.

The Pemón name translates to “waterfall of the deepest place.” International recognition followed aviator Jimmie Angel’s flight in 1933.

This monumental landscape shaped the philosophy behind the Epic X Salto Angel.

Nature dictated form, scale, and emotional impact. The watch honors both ancestral land and modern excellence.
