La Natividad La Dolfina delivered a performance shaped by precision, confidence, and raw instinct to achieve the Argentine Triple Crown 2025 (comprising the Tortugas Open, Hurlingham Open, and Argentine Open).

Their 17-13 victory over Ellerstina Indios Chapaleufú sealed another historic milestone. This victory made Adolfo Cambiaso the only player in history to have won the Argentine Triple Crown five times, a record-breaking achievement that he shared with his son, Poroto Cambiaso, and nephews, Barto and Jeta Castagnola.

A Fusion That Redefined an Era

The union between La Dolfina and La Natividad continues shaping modern polo. Their collective synergy transformed a powerful team into an unstoppable force.

The triumph in Palermo field sealed their third shared Triple Crown, strengthening a legacy already rich in bold achievements.

La Dolfina’s individual record at Palermo remains unmatched, with 15 trophies before the fusion. Meanwhile, La Natividad contributed three titles of its own, won in 2021, 2023, and 2024.

Ellerstina Indios Chapaleufú entered the field seeking a breakthrough. Their fusion brought together heritage from the Pieres dynasty and the historic Heguy lineage.

However, the dream of securing their first joint Tiple Crown slipped away in a final marked by tension and shifting momentum.

A Final Charged With Nerves and Brilliance

The match unfolded beneath a breezy Palermo sky and the watchful presence of national president Javier Milei.

From the first chukker, camaraderie evaporated and competitive fire dominated. The duel opened with tight plays, physical collisions, and defensive intensity. Early goals balanced the scoreboard, reflecting the teams’ unwillingness to concede ground.

The legendary Adolfo Cambiaso broke another barrier when he surpassed 135 goals scored at Palermo. The celebration was brief as Ellerstina surged ahead with a 5-3 lead.

Their early rhythm hinted at potential domination, but La Natividad La Dolfina recalibrated instantly after the break.

Momentum Tilts in a Defining Fourth Chukker

The fourth chukker shifted everything. Precision replaced hesitation, and La Natividad La Dolfina executed plays worthy of pure exhibition.

Their relentless pace created an 11-5 lead that felt insurmountable. Ellerstina’s continuous debates with the referees proved costly. Discipline faded, while their rivals maintained sharp control and impeccable horsemanship.

By the fifth chukker, Ellerstina ended its scoring drought. Yet the margin remained wide, making a reversal nearly impossible.

The score stood at 12-6, and control belonged entirely to the team from Cañuelas.

Where Talent and Tradition Intersect

As the match approached its conclusion, the gap narrowed slightly. La Natividad La Dolfina shifted into preservation mode, confident yet cautious. The 14-12 score in the penultimate stage injected late suspense into the narrative.

However, experience prevailed. Cambiaso’s wisdom, Poroto’s young brilliance, and the Castagnola brothers’ dynamic style combined effortlessly.

The final whistle crowned a definitive 17-13 triumph. The victory symbolized a full-circle moment. Celebration naturally led toward Palermo’s beloved Beer House, where tradition and modern culture blend seamlessly.
