Miami’s art scene soared to new heights as the Design District inaugurated Walking on Air, the latest exhibition from the renowned Craig Robins Collection. Hosted at the iconic Buick Building, the event marked the grand opening of Miami Art Week, drawing global tastemakers and art world luminaries.
Curated from over 1,700 modern and contemporary works, the 2025-2026 rehang spotlights Richard Tuttle, whose groundbreaking pieces—from the 1960s Drift constructions to recent innovations—explore spatial suspension and material subtlety. His works dialogue with icons like David Hammons, John Baldessari, and Marcel Duchamp, each playing with chance and the delicate balance between gravity and grace.
The exhibition also features new acquisitions by Lauren Halsey, Sam McKinnis, and Jill Mulleady, alongside emerging talents Jana Euler, Sasha Gordon, and Mario Ayala. Installed across two floors, the show offers a dynamic prelude to Miami’s vibrant art season.
Following the exclusive vernissage, Craig Robins, Dacra’s CEO, hosted an intimate dinner curated by WE ARE ONA and supported by BVLGARI, blending luxury with artistic vision. Walking on Air not only celebrates Tuttle’s legacy but also reaffirms Miami’s status as a cultural epicenter, where creativity and sophistication converge. This is a must-see for collectors and connoisseurs alike.
