The new Blue Label Ultra arrives with a clear ambition: to express sophistication through reduction, elegance through weightlessness, and prestige through responsibility.

This release introduces the lightest Johnnie Walker glass bottle to date, a limited run of only 888 pieces worldwide.

The bottle weighs just 250 grams in total, with the glass itself measuring only 180 grams.

The achievement required five years of development, involving collaboration between Johnnie Walker’s internal design teams and master glass artisans renowned for precision craftsmanship.

The result is not merely a lighter object, but a symbolic shift—one that reflects a new era in premium spirits design.

A New Silhouette for a New Era

The bottle’s form diverges from the familiar square outline associated with Johnnie Walker. It introduces a tear-shaped profile, fluid and minimal.

This curve is elegant rather than ostentatious, expressing refinement through absence instead of excess.

The structure reduces material while maintaining durability, demonstrating that luxury can be resilient without being heavy.

The bottle’s transparency enhances its lightness, allowing the whisky inside to command visual focus.

Precision in Every Detail

The stopper is an innovation on its own: hollowed aluminum crafted from a single piece.

Its metallic sheen complements the gentle clarity of the glass, adding dimension without bulk.

A bamboo-based support cradle accompanies the bottle, reducing packaging material and transportation impact.

Every component participates in a unified vision—one where weight is minimized, but identity is never diluted.

A Blend That Honors Time

Inside this sculpture of modern luxury rests a bespoke expression of Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ultra, developed by Master Blender Dr. Emma Walker.

The composition comprises rare, long-matured whiskies from iconic distilleries, including Oban, Brora, and Royal Lochnagar.

It also includes the elusive “ghost whiskies” of Port Ellen, Port Dundas, and Caledonian—spirits drawn from distilleries that no longer exist, yet live on in taste.

The resulting profile bridges legacy and innovation, echoing history while unveiling new aromatic dimensions.

This edition becomes both memory and promise, a tribute to craftsmanship and progress.

Designed for a New Luxury Language

Beyond aesthetics and flavor, the bottle represents a structural transition within Diageo, Johnnie Walker’s parent company.

For the first time, the company will offer free licensing for its lightweight glass patent, encouraging the entire industry to adopt more sustainable practices.

This gesture positions the bottle as a catalyst—not just a collectible object—but a blueprint for meaningful change.

Every element is recyclable or sourced from recycled materials.

Production reduces carbon emissions significantly, proving that luxury and responsibility can coexist gracefully.

A Collector’s Edition with Purpose

With only 888 bottles released globally—and merely 66 arriving in Mexico—the Blue Label Ultra immediately enters the realm of high-value collectibles.

Each piece is individually numbered.

The bottle rests in a custom cradle with a subtle unlocking mechanism that releases it with a single movement —an elegant gesture mirroring the design philosophy.
