A Movement, Not Just an Event

Uruguayan businessman Ignacio González Castro, founder and CEO of the America Business Forum, opened the event with a bold vision: to establish Miami as the heart of a global movement. “This is not an event, it is a movement,” Castro declared, emphasizing the forum’s ambition to transcend traditional business gatherings and foster lasting change.

Castro’s opening remarks zeroed in on the defining challenge of our era: the rapid ascent of artificial intelligence. “The rise of AI excites and terrifies us. Is humanity ready?” he asked, setting the tone for two days of high-level discussions. He promised that the “brightest minds” at the forum would tackle these questions, underscoring the need for leadership that resonates with people and drives progress in times of global transformation.

Saudi Arabia’s AI Ambitions and Global Partnerships

Reema Bandar Al-Saud, Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to the United States, took the stage to outline her country’s Vision 2030—a blueprint for a diverse, technologically advanced economy. Al-Saud highlighted artificial intelligence and digital medicine as strategic priorities, noting their application in hospitals and health services.

“We want artificial intelligence to be the engine of growth,” she stated, positioning Saudi Arabia as a potential extension of the U.S. technological ecosystem. The ambassador stressed the importance of international collaboration, particularly with the United States and Latin America, and announced the opening of a Saudi office in Miami to strengthen ties in innovation, health, and education.

Tony Robbins: AI, Nanotechnology, and the Next Five Years

Business strategist Tony Robbins delivered a keynote address, predicting that the next five years will witness the most profound changes in history, driven by advances in nanotechnology, artificial intelligence, and robotics. He described a future where medical devices extend life in critical situations and where connectivity and manufacturing become more accessible than ever.

Robbins acknowledged the “great uncertainty” caused by the pace of innovation, which can instill fear and stress. However, he insisted that these challenges also present unprecedented opportunities for visionaries willing to act. He cited the example of a real estate developer who revitalized Miami’s South Beach and Design District by attracting international talent and forging strategic alliances—proof that transformative change is possible with the right leadership.

Robbins outlined five essential qualities for leadership in disruptive times: energy, vision, determination, resolve, and drive. He argued that energy is the engine for initiating and sustaining projects, while vision is crucial for anticipating trends and seizing opportunities.

Donald Trump: AI Infrastructure and Miami’s Ascent

President Donald Trump, a headline speaker, addressed the forum’s focus on AI infrastructure. He described the scale of upcoming construction projects, stating that buildings dedicated to AI technology “could cover the island of Manhattan.”

Trump also positioned Miami as a refuge for those fleeing “communist countries,” contrasting the city’s policies with those of New York and framing Miami as a safe haven for innovation and investment.

María Corina Machado: Venezuela’s AI-Powered Future

Nobel Peace Prize winner María Corina Machado, participating via videocall from Venezuela, detailed her country’s investment potential in hydrocarbons, mining, infrastructure, energy, and tourism.

She highlighted Venezuela’s capacity to generate 17 gigawatts of energy, which could fuel the development of artificial intelligence and other high-tech industries.

Machado assured international investors that her government would provide the necessary legal certainty, projecting an optimistic vision for Venezuela’s future. “In five years, Venezuela will be the envy of the whole world,” she declared, envisioning a national rebirth driven by innovation and institutional reform.
