The Mexico GP once again turned the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez into a theater of speed, precision, and heartbreak.
Under the intense high-altitude sun, Lando Norris emerged not just victorious but transformed into the new face of Formula 1 leadership.
The 25-year-old McLaren driver took his tenth career win—his sixth this season—overtaking his teammate Oscar Piastri in the championship standings.
With this victory, Norris now leads the table by a single point, edging past Piastri with 357 to 356.
The tension could be felt across the grid, signaling that the road to the final races will be anything but predictable.
The Shifting Order of Power
Behind Norris, Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc claimed a strong second place, while Max Verstappen, the dominant figure of past seasons, completed the podium.
For the Dutchman, the Mexico GP was a test of endurance and adaptability, as strategy battles and tire wear dictated much of the race’s tempo.
Mercedes, meanwhile, saw mixed results. Kimi Antonelli delivered a composed drive to finish sixth, followed by George Russell in seventh.
Lewis Hamilton, driving for Ferrari this weekend under the newly inked contract, crossed the line eighth after a 10-second penalty for exceeding track limits during a fierce battle with Verstappen.
