This 2025 release underscores the Maison’s dedication to blending Art Deco aesthetics with high-precision watchmaking. With a choice of two dial colors, refined back dial design, and dual-time zone functionality, these models reinforce the Reverso’s status as a true icon of horology.

The Legacy of the Reverso

Created in 1931, the Reverso was born from a challenge posed by polo-playing military officers in India during the British Raj. They needed a watch capable of withstanding the rigors of the polo field. Jaeger-LeCoultre answered with a swiveling rectangular case and precision-shaped calibres, merging form and function. Over decades, the Reverso transcended its sporting origins, becoming a symbol of style and innovation for both men and women.

Its signature Art Deco lines and patented double-sided case (CH159982) remain defining features, while the introduction of high complications in the 1990s, including the Duoface (EP0633514), allowed for dual dials offering independent time zone adjustments. This duality turned the Reverso into a canvas for artistic and horological creativity.

Iconic Duoface Mechanics

The 2025 Reverso Tribute Duoface Small Seconds incorporates the manually wound Calibre 854, featuring 160 components, a 42-hour power reserve, and two time zones. A small slider on the top case-band adjusts the hours for the second time zone, while the front dial offers a small seconds display and the back dial a 24-hour/night-and-day indicator.

This engineering marvel ensures both dials operate independently, yet are driven by a single movement. The deeply etched sunray pattern on the inner carriage enhances the visual pleasure of flipping the watch, a hallmark of the Reverso’s ingenious design.

New Dial Colors and Design Features

The new editions pay homage to the earliest Reverso models with pure black or vivid blue dials. The black dial recalls the original 1931 aesthetics, while the blue dial employs 24 layers of lacquer for depth and vibrancy. Applied indexes, Dauphine hands, and a small seconds track create a harmonious visual geometry on the front dial.

The reverse dial, redesigned with a sleek sunray-brushed background, balances circles and straight lines and features a 24-hour sub-dial at 6 o’clock. Both versions come with two interchangeable Casa Fagliano straps—one leather and canvas, one entirely calf leather—reflecting the Maison’s polo-inspired heritage.
