Operated by the Faena Hotel Group in partnership with Accor, Faena New York is a 120-key property that redefines what an urban luxury hotel can be. Located in West Chelsea, adjacent to the High Line and overlooking city views and the Hudson River, the hotel is housed in a distinctive architectural structure that merges bold design with immersive cultural experiences.

Its lobby—described as a cathedral of art—features a dramatic mural commissioned from Argentine artist Diego Gravinese. With gilded spiral staircases, theatrical artwork, and opulent finishes, the hotel sets the tone from the moment guests arrive.

Interiors, Rooms & Amenities: Technical Luxury Meets Comfort

The rooms and suites at Faena New York are designed for both functionality and sensory delight. Each one is crafted to deliver comfort, elegance, and high-end materials. Key technical features and amenities include:

  • Floor-to-ceiling windows with sweeping views of the High Line, Hudson River, or Chelsea skyline.
  • Bathrooms with marble surrounds, high-end fixtures, Toto-style sanitary ware, and smart lighting.
  • In-room luxuries: minibar essentials, espresso machine, heating elements, refined bedding, and premium textiles.
  • Public spaces include the signature restaurant “La Boca” by chef Francis Mallmann, featuring live-fire cooking; The Living Room with art-deco bars and nightly entertainment; wine-cellar style “La Cava”; and more intimate cocktail lounges.
  • Wellness and cultural expansion: The Tierra Santa Healing House will offer about 12,000 square feet of spa facilities with treatment rooms, fitness studios, and South American-inspired therapies. Plans also include an on-site theater and cabaret for performances and cultural events.

Design, Art & Culinary Program as Pillars of Luxury

What sets Faena New York apart is the seamless integration of art, design, and gastronomy. Designed by Faena’s in-house creative team in collaboration with Peter Mikic Studios, the property embodies old-New York glamour infused with theatrical details. Highlights include:

  • Lavish murals (notably by Gravinese), large-scale sculptures, and gilded staircases.
  • Rich textiles, bold color palettes, animal motifs, and strong art deco influences.
  • Multiple dining venues: La Boca anchors the culinary program with Mallmann’s Patagonian fire-and-smoke techniques, complemented by cocktail bars and private dining salons.
  • Strategic location: Rooms offer striking views of the High Line and Hudson River, while the hotel’s Chelsea address connects guests to art galleries, nightlife, and one of Manhattan’s most vibrant districts.
