Set within the refined environment of its Valenza Manifattura—the world’s most extensive single-brand jewellery manufacturing complex—the Scuola Bvlgari initiative marks a bold step toward making the brand’s craftsmanship accessible to enthusiasts and aspiring artisans alike.

Mastering Craft Through Immersive Learning

Tailored for both newcomers and seasoned creatives, the school offers two meticulously designed programmes. The Goldsmithing course spans approximately 1,680 hours, delving into skills like soldering, laser cutting, polishing, lost-wax casting, and intricate metalwork—activities deeply rooted in traditional techniques and modern precision.

Meanwhile, the Gemstone Setting programme, clocking in at around 600 hours, trains students in delicate mounting styles—pavé, bezel, prong, and claw settings—complemented by essential gemological theory. Classes run on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., extending until spring 2027 for goldsmithing and mid-2026 for gem-setting.

This isn’t a typical classroom experience—instead of desks and slides, students work at worn benches, with loupes and tools circulating through their hands.

Instruction comes directly from Bvlgari’s own artisan masters, gemologists, and technical experts, ensuring a hands-on immersion in the House’s artisan legacy. Built upon the foundation of the internal Bvlgari Jewellery Academy—launched in 2017 for nurturing in-house talent—Scuola Bvlgari now carries that mission into the public realm.

A Commitment to Inclusion and Sustainability

Beyond technique, Scuola Bvlgari represents a larger vision: safeguarding Italy’s artisanal heritage, empowering diverse talents, and strengthening community ties. The Valenza Manifattura now hosts artisans from over 30 nationalities, and the school also supports Bvlgari’s Refugee Program, which unfolds pathways for asylum seekers through training and mentorship—earning a UNHCR “Welcome.

Working for Refugee Integration” label. The initiative aligns with Bvlgari’s strategic expansion of its manufacturing footprint, reinforcing its commitment to in-house expertise and long-term resilience.
