Swiss watchmaker Tudor has given its iconic Black Bay a bold, racing-inspired transformation with the release of the Tudor Black Bay Chrono “Carbon 25”, a timepiece that blends high-performance materials with a Formula 1 aesthetic.

The Tudor Black Bay Chrono “Carbon 25”, a limited-edition chronograph, reflects the brand’s ongoing connection to motorsport, especially through its collaboration with the Racing Bulls Formula One Team VCARB, the junior squad of Red Bull Racing.

Sporting a lightweight 42mm carbon fiber case, the Tudor Black Bay Chrono “Carbon 25” is built for speed and comfort. Its caseback, crown, and chronograph pushers are crafted from black PVD-coated titanium, contributing to its sleek and technical profile.

At just 14.3mm thick, this chronograph is slimmer than its stainless-steel counterparts, delivering enhanced wearability without sacrificing presence. The single-piece bezel features an engraved tachymeter scale, reinforcing the timepiece’s track-ready attitude. This release follows Tudor’s standout appearance at Watches and Wonders 2025, further solidifying its momentum.

Lightweight power

The decision to use carbon isn’t merely stylistic—it’s rooted in precision engineering. This material, favored in both the automotive and aerospace sectors, is interwoven in a complex pattern to ensure strength and minimal weight.

The result is a case that’s not only visually striking with its matte, textured finish but also engineered for everyday durability. As a leader in carbon-crafted men’s watches, Tudor showcases mastery over this advanced material in the Tudor Black Bay Chrono “Carbon 25”.

Visually, the dial makes a strong statement. It features a matte white surface with a blue outer ring and vivid red accents. Of particular note are the twin sub-dials made from raw carbon fiber, echoing the construction of the case and adding a raw, technical edge. The Snowflake hands and applied hour markers are filled with luminous material, ensuring excellent readability in all conditions.

Inside beats the COSC-certified MT5813 caliber, developed in collaboration with Breitling. This high-performance movement includes a silicon balance spring for anti-magnetic protection, a vertical clutch system, and a column wheel mechanism.

It delivers a robust 70-hour power reserve and guarantees precision and reliability. The watch is also water-resistant to 200 meters (20 bar), adding practical versatility to its cutting-edge design.

Completing the package is a hybrid leather-and-rubber strap with carbon-fiber end links and a carbon-finished pin buckle. The strap is textured to evoke race tire treads, and subtle blue stitching echoes the chronograph’s motorsport DNA. This detail-rich design further cements its appeal to both watch aficionados and racing fans alike.
