Hotel Chalet Mirabell isn’t a corporate creation—it’s deeply personal. 

 

Owners Christine and Michael Reiterer were both raised in the region and come from families rooted in hospitality. 

 

In 1999, their parents gifted them land in Hafling as a wedding present. By 2004, their dream came to life as a boutique Alpine escape with just 16 rooms.

 

Their son Martin now plays a role in managing the expanding estate, which boasts a 70-room luxury retreat and one of South Tyrol’s largest spa and wellness centers.

Hotel Chalet Mirabell sits between Merano’s historical beauty and the thrilling trails of the Meran 2000 resort.

Aside from its 70 exquisite rooms, the hotel features four hidden mountain villas—each with a private pool and sauna. 

 

Guests in these villas enjoy full access to the main building’s amenities, including the Alpine Lifestyle Restaurant.

 

There’s no need for a separate fine-dining venue: the main restaurant offers meals that rival haute cuisine. 

 

Local cheeses, organic meats, and regional produce fill the buffets, while lunches include live cooking stations. Dinners extend to five or six courses, available in vegan and omnivorous options.

 

Each guest receives a personal table for the entirety of their stay, with separate spaces for families and adults. It’s a detail that reinforces the hotel’s thoughtful, guest-focused design.
