As the world-renowned fashion retailer marks a historic milestone, the Zara 50 Anniversary campaign launches with a dazzling tribute that transcends a typical brand celebration.

To commemorate 50 years since opening its first store in A Coruña, Spain, Zara has orchestrated a monumental campaign featuring 50 of the most iconic supermodels from past and present, directed by  Steven Meisel.

The result is a visually stunning short film set to the rhythm of Donna Summer’s 1977 classic, “I Feel Love”.

“50 Years, 50 Icons”: More Than Just a Campaign

At the heart of the Zara 50 Anniversary tribute lies a striking visual narrative.

The campaign gathers legends of the runway—Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, and Twiggy, among others—alongside contemporary powerhouses like Imaan Hammam, Vittoria Ceretti, and Paloma Elsesser.

Together, they embody the global nature of Zara’s influence across generations and cultures.

The film reflects a clean, powerful aesthetic anchored in monochromatic tailoring and tuxedo-inspired silhouettes.

Marta Ortega Pérez: Visionary Behind the Lens

Marta Ortega Pérez, chair of Inditex and the creative force propelling the brand’s legacy forward, played a pivotal role in bringing this campaign to life.

A long-time admirer and collaborator of Meisel, Ortega’s vision for the Zara 50 Anniversary film was driven by her commitment to creativity as Zara’s core value.

“This film by Steven Meisel is a tribute to the creative freedom and magic we strive for at Zara,” Ortega stated.

“These 50 iconic women—celebrated not only for their beauty but for their strength and individuality—represent the soul of our anniversary.”

Indeed, the campaign stands as a love letter to both the fashion industry and the loyal teams behind the scenes who have helped shape Zara’s global success over the past 50 years.

A Creative Dream Team

The production was executed by an elite team of fashion veterans: styling by Karl Templer, makeup by the legendary Pat McGrath, hair by Guido Palau, artistic direction by Jason Duzansky, and casting by Piergiorgio Del Moro.

Each contributor has a deep creative history with Meisel, ensuring that the campaign would not only look exquisite but feel deeply rooted in fashion culture.

The visual coherence and emotive power of the film reflect decades of collaboration, vision, and shared artistry.

Timeless Fashion, Limitless Appeal

With a heavy emphasis on sleek tuxedos and refined silhouettes, the wardrobe in the Zara 50 Anniversary campaign embraces a unisex classicism that feels as relevant today as it did half a century ago.

It signals Zara’s commitment to quality and timeless design, even as it continues to push fashion boundaries globally.

This celebration is not merely about looking back—it is about looking forward.

Zara’s campaign invites the world to not only reflect on how fashion has changed but also to imagine the future it can help create.

Through innovation, inclusivity, and artistic excellence, Zara is shaping the next 50 years of style.
