Capitalizing on an early shuffle involving teammate Lando Norris and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, Oscar Piastri managed to seize the lead and maintain control for the remainder of the race. Although Norris lost ground early after a fierce duel with Verstappen off the line, the Australian driver used that opening to pull ahead and secure his fourth win of the season.
The gap between the two McLaren drivers at the checkered flag was 4.4 seconds, cementing Piastri’s position at the top of the standings, now 16 points ahead of Norris. Together, they finished a full 30 seconds ahead of the rest of the field, making McLaren’s form undeniable.
