Guided by creative director Vincent Van Duysen, The Molteni&C Collection 2025 draws inspiration from archival research focused on the 1970s and 1980s.

Reimagined with a modern lens, these past influences now find new life in the brand’s sleek, open-plan aesthetic.

Van Duysen’s vision for the Molteni&C Collection reflects the soul of Milanese residential elegance.

The Return of a Classic: Monk Chair

A highlight of the Molteni&C Collection is the revival of the iconic Monk chair, created in 1973 by Afra and Tobia Scarpa.

With its suspended leather seat and minimalist structure, Monk represents a philosophy rooted in authenticity and tradition.

Resurrected from the archives, the chair joins the Heritage Collection in both its original form and a newly expanded, lower-seated version.

It’s a reaffirmation of timeless craftsmanship, where simplicity meets deep cultural resonance.

Fresh Designs from Visionary Collaborators

In addition to curating the overall collection, Van Duysen contributes new designs including the Linea armchair and the Aria desk.

But the 2025 catalog goes beyond his signature style, welcoming collaborations with innovative designers like Christophe Delcourt and the duo GamFratesi.

Delcourt brings to the table a poetic understanding of materials and a sculptural sensibility.

His works blur the boundaries between industrial production and artisanal craftsmanship, transforming furniture into emotive, tactile experiences.

The Emile Sofa: Modularity Redefined

Among the most versatile pieces is the Emile modular sofa, designed by Delcourt.

Described as “divided but united”, Emile’s structure offers a dynamic interplay of forms.

Varying backrest heights and customizable cushions provide both comfort and visual motion, adapting to the rhythms of contemporary life.

Complementary Coffee Tables: Maylis & Odile

To complete the Emile experience, Delcourt introduces the Maylis and Odile coffee tables. Maylis stands out for its sculptural profile.

It delivers a multi-perspective experience, where shape and material dance in harmony.

Meanwhile, the Odile coffee table epitomizes modularity and harmony. With its hexagonal top available in lacquer or marble, and its oak base, Odile seamlessly blends function and form.

Artistic Influence and Material Mastery

Christophe Delcourt’s philosophy shines through every detail.

Drawing from artistic disciplines like sculpture and painting, his design process becomes a choreographed exploration of solids and voids, light and material.

The result is a collection that is both a functional environment and an aesthetic manifesto—every element speaks with its own voice while contributing to a greater narrative.

The use of materials is central—wood, lacquer, glass, steel, and marble are orchestrated with masterful precision.
