As CST 2025 came to an end, the day showed how sports can bring people together, offer mentorship, and make a positive difference in the lives of young people.

The 4th Annual FCC Corporate Soccer Tournament (CST 2025) was a remarkable demonstration of teamwork, community spirit and the transformative power of soccer.

 

The event took place at the FIU Wellness and Recreation Center fields, and it brought together eight corporate teams and over 250 enthusiastic guests. Everyone came together to harness the incredible potential of soccer as a force for social change.

A Celebration of Youth Empowerment

The day kicked off with a riveting opening ceremony, featuring speeches from prominent figures such as Rodney Barreto (President, CEO and Chief Visionary Officer), David Lawrence Jr. (President of The Children’s Movement of Florida) and Luisa Santos (Miami-Dade School Board Member). Their comments really struck a chord with the audience, highlighting the shared dedication to youth empowerment and community action.

 

The day was filled with energy, from the inspiring speeches to the awesome performances by top female freestyle soccer players and the Hialeah-Miami Lakes Senior Marching Band.

“Children today are under a lot of risk, and they need our support. Thank you all for showing up—you are here for the children to make their lives better,” FCC CEO Samuel Azout passionately addressed the audience.

 

The event was also attended by representatives from FIFA and Inter of Miami, providing a unique opportunity to showcase the work of the FCC.

Moments that Made an Impact

As the tournament progressed, each team showcased not only their skills but also their spirit of collaboration and sportsmanship. The exceptional leadership exhibited by UFL and FCC Coaches served as an inspiration for the youth in attendance, both on and off the field.

 

A standout moment occurred when in-kind sponsor Sostereo premiered the first official FCC anthem, a performance beautifully executed by children from Centro Mater, providing a heartwarming connection to the community.

In a thrilling finale, North Bay Village clinched the championship title after a nail-biting match against UFL. Their reward? Spirit Airlines tickets and a celebratory dinner at the trendy Sexy Fish, serving to highlight the tournament’s focus on fun and camaraderie.

The Ripple Effect: Impact Statistics

The ripple effect of FCC is profound. The event successfully reached 5,000 children, connecting them with mentors, soccer teams, and safe spaces to play.

 

Furthermore, 1,000 youth were equipped with mentorship opportunities and access to volunteer and internship programs, paving a brighter path for their futures.

 

The tournament also trained 100 coaches in Social Emotional Learning, conflict prevention, and peacebuilding through the medium of soccer.

The event was made possible through the support of numerous sponsors. Diamond sponsors included the likes of Amazon and Elion, while platinum sponsors were represented by Valley Bank and FIU.

 

Additional support came from gold sponsors such as Florida Blue, Chick-fil-A, Fracht Group, FPL, and silver sponsors like Commissioner Danielle Cohen Higgins, Commissioner Kevin Cabrera, North Bay Village, Arnet Pharmaceutical, Plei, Miami-Dade County, HCA Healthcare.

As CST 2025 came to an end, it was clear that this event had a big impact. It showed how sports can bring people together, offer guidance, and make positive change in the lives of young people.
