Nestled in the heart of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree is flanked by famous conservation attractions such as the Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, River Wonders, and Bird Paradise. It offers a gateway to immersive wildlife encounters and educational experiences that deepen one’s connection with the natural world.

Treehouses & tranquility

The architecture of the resort embraces biophilic principles, weaving nature into its structure, services, and guest offerings. In keeping with Banyan Group’s commitment to honoring each location’s authenticity, the 338-room retreat blends organically into its tropical surroundings.

Accommodations are designed to resemble the multiple tiers of a rainforest—from the dense forest floor to the high canopy—giving guests a full sense of the area’s ecological diversity. Many rooms either overlook the pristine greenery or provide views of the serene Upper Seletar Reservoir.

Environmental consciousness is woven into the resort’s fabric. Rooms can be naturally ventilated, with large, openable windows that allow fresh air to circulate. Ambient temperatures inside mirror the coolness of equatorial forests.

Rooms also feature interactive screens that monitor electricity usage and notify guests if energy consumption becomes excessive. The resort also collects rainwater, which is reused for flushing systems in each room.

Sustainable serenity

For larger gatherings or celebrations, the resort offers the 300-seat Meranti Ballroom, whose design draws inspiration from the rare Bridal Veil Stinkhorn mushroom, recognizable by its intricate, hexagonal-patterned veil. Adjacent to this space is the elegant Bridal Room, offering privacy and convenience for wedding parties just steps away from the main venue.

Guests looking to unwind can treat themselves at the tranquil Banyan Tree Spa. Additionally, the resort gives access to a wide range of exclusive animal encounters and guided experiences throughout Mandai Wildlife Reserve. These include behind-the-scenes tours and educational interactions with the animals, along with special discounts on park tickets and signature programs.

Glen Cook, general manager of Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree, shared his excitement: “We’re thrilled that Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree will serve as a springboard for locals and travelers to delve into the extraordinary wonders of Singapore’s wildlife and nature.” Visitors are also encouraged to embrace sustainability efforts during their stay, supporting a shared goal of minimizing environmental impact. The resort officially began receiving guests on April 2, 2025.
