In 2025, the watchmaking world will mark several major anniversaries—names like Breguet, Audemars Piguet, MB&F, and the Laureato line by Girard-Perregaux are all celebrating milestones.

However, few are expected to celebrate as boldly as Hublot, which commemorates the 20th anniversary of its iconic Big Bang timepiece. Over the years, few watches have made such a significant cultural and stylistic impact as the Big Bang.

“When it first launched two decades ago, the Big Bang was a newcomer in the world of haute horology. Today, it stands as one of the most recognized symbols of modern luxury,” says Raphaël Nussbaumer, a prominent Hublot collector and the brand’s Head of Product and Purchasing.

The Big Bang collection has always been synonymous with bold character and nonconformity—traits that have attracted icons like Kylian Mbappé, Novak Djokovic, and Usain Bolt, who have all served as ambassadors of the brand over the years. The watch is often seen as a statement of individuality, one that breaks from tradition while embracing innovation.

Celebrates two decades of Big Bang

The anniversary collection spans a range of sizes from 33 mm to 44 mm, featuring a wide variety of materials, finishes, and bezel styles. “We wanted to pay tribute to the best-selling Big Bang Original,” explains CEO Ricardo Guadalupe, “but elevate it by incorporating the Unico movement and the advanced materials we’ve mastered over the years.”

There are five new Big Bang Unico models designed with the spirit of the Original, showcasing signature elements like fluted lugs and a knurled bezel, along with a structured rubber strap patterned in a distinctive diamond motif that recalls the early Big Bang style.

Among the highlights is the 33 mm Big Bang One Click in blue or mint green ceramic—a sleek and playful miniature version that’s perfect for both men and women with smaller wrists. There’s also a 42 mm Big Bang Unico available in the same color palette.

Hublot blends heritage and innovation

The vibrancy continues with five Big Bang One Click Joyful models in vivid fiberglass shades, marking the debut of color-matched gemstone embellishments paired with coordinated straps. Each features a gleaming white dial with alternating Arabic numerals and applied hour markers—true to the Big Bang aesthetic.

For the anniversary, Hublot once again showcases its expertise in sapphire—a material that’s earned the brand the nickname “Master of Sapphire”. The new Big Bang MECA-10 lineup includes five unique watches, each crafted from either sapphire or SAXEM in hues like crystal-clear, aqua blue, deep sapphire, violet, and neon yellow. Matching transparent straps complete the futuristic look.

In addition, Hublot has introduced a new “Materials and High Complications” collection. As Guadalupe puts it, “This collection represents the full scope of our capabilities—both in our mastery of innovative materials and our watchmaking complexity—showing that Hublot is a fully integrated manufacturer.” The series includes five one-of-a-kind watches, each with a distinct identity, yet together they narrate a story of innovation, craftsmanship, and design evolution.
