Following its triumph in securing a ninth Formula 1 Constructor’s Championship last season, McLaren continues to honor this milestone with these limited-production supercars, designed with elements that pay tribute to its victorious F1 machine.

The MCL38 Celebration Edition Artura and MCL38 Celebration Edition 750S, both featuring the autographs of McLaren’s 2024 F1 drivers, will have an extremely limited production run, with only nine units of each model available.

These special editions showcase a livery inspired by McLaren’s 2024 Formula 1 car, incorporating the signature papaya and anthracite color scheme that has become synonymous with the brand’s racing heritage. Additionally, each vehicle includes a commemorative plaque, partially crafted from actual bodywork taken from McLaren’s 2024 F1 car, adding an authentic connection to the championship-winning season.

From track to road

Inside the cabin, both models prominently display the signatures of Norris and Piastri on a sill cover near the seat headrests, alongside a champion’s laurel. Each car features two distinct plaques: one incorporating carbon fiber components from McLaren’s Formula 1 car and another, referred to as the “track record plaque,” which details every pole position, race victory, and fastest lap achieved by McLaren during the 2024 season. This unique feature reinforces the deep motorsport DNA embedded within these supercars.

The MCL38 Celebration Edition 750S includes additional papaya-colored accents, further emphasizing its Formula 1 roots. Both the 750S and the Artura are adorned with a star logo featuring the number nine, symbolizing McLaren’s ninth championship victory. Mechanically, these special editions remain unchanged from their standard versions—the Artura continues to be powered by a 3.0-liter V6 hybrid engine, while the 750S boasts a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8, delivering the high-performance driving experience expected from McLaren.

Championship Legacy

McLaren has not yet disclosed the official pricing for these exclusive models. However, given that the standard Artura is priced at approximately $250,000 and the 750S starts at around $318,000, buyers can anticipate a significant price increase for these limited-edition variants. Due to McLaren’s dedicated customer base, probably, all 18 units have already been reserved by collectors and enthusiasts eager to own a piece of the brand’s championship history.

The star-logo featuring the number nine serves as a clear identifier for those trying to distinguish these special models from the standard Artura or 750S. As McLaren continues to make its mark both on the track and in the realm of high-performance road cars, these commemorative editions stand as a tribute to its enduring legacy of excellence.
