The prestigious British automaker Rolls-Royce unveiled its latest high-performance model, the Black Badge Spectre. This striking electric vehicle embodies the luxury and refinement the brand is famous for while delivering a notable boost in power.
A Legacy of Power and Performance
While Rolls-Royce is often associated with unparalleled luxury and comfort, performance has always been a crucial aspect of its identity.
The company has been producing V-12 engines since introducing the Phantom III in the 1930s. In 2016, Rolls-Royce pushed the envelope even further with the introduction of the Black Badge series, offering high-performance versions of its models.
Over the years, the Ghost and Cullinan have received this treatment, and now, it’s the Spectre’s turn.
Unlike its predecessors, the Black Badge Spectre does not rely on a 6.5-liter V-12 engine, yet Rolls-Royce engineers in Goodwood have ensured it delivers more power than ever.
Thanks to key refinements and the new Infinity Mode, the dual-motor powertrain now produces an impressive 659 horsepower and 792 lb-ft of torque.
These enhancements—adding 82 horsepower and 128 lb-ft of torque—officially make it the most powerful Rolls-Royce ever built, surpassing the now-discontinued Black Badge Wraith.
Additionally, the inclusion of Spirited Mode allows drivers to tap into the EV’s full torque potential, enabling an exhilarating 0-to-60 mph sprint in just 4.1 seconds.
