The prestigious British automaker Rolls-Royce unveiled its latest high-performance model, the Black Badge Spectre. This striking electric vehicle embodies the luxury and refinement the brand is famous for while delivering a notable boost in power.

A Legacy of Power and Performance

While Rolls-Royce is often associated with unparalleled luxury and comfort, performance has always been a crucial aspect of its identity.

The company has been producing V-12 engines since introducing the Phantom III in the 1930s. In 2016, Rolls-Royce pushed the envelope even further with the introduction of the Black Badge series, offering high-performance versions of its models.

Over the years, the Ghost and Cullinan have received this treatment, and now, it’s the Spectre’s turn.

Unlike its predecessors, the Black Badge Spectre does not rely on a 6.5-liter V-12 engine, yet Rolls-Royce engineers in Goodwood have ensured it delivers more power than ever.

Thanks to key refinements and the new Infinity Mode, the dual-motor powertrain now produces an impressive 659 horsepower and 792 lb-ft of torque.

These enhancements—adding 82 horsepower and 128 lb-ft of torque—officially make it the most powerful Rolls-Royce ever built, surpassing the now-discontinued Black Badge Wraith.

Additionally, the inclusion of Spirited Mode allows drivers to tap into the EV’s full torque potential, enabling an exhilarating 0-to-60 mph sprint in just 4.1 seconds.

Adjustments for a Seamless Drive

With these performance upgrades, the Black Badge Spectre experiences a slight reduction in range.

Fitted with 22-inch wheels, it can travel up to 266 miles on a single charge, while the standard model reaches 277 miles under the same conditions.

Opting for 23-inch wheels lowers the range to 251 miles, compared to 253 miles for the standard Spectre.

To ensure an exceptional driving experience, the vehicle also features an adjusted steering weight and upgraded dampers that enhance body control, preserving the brand’s signature Magic Carpet Ride sensation.

A Bold Aesthetic Upgrade

The Black Badge Spectre doesn’t just deliver a mechanical transformation—it also boasts a distinctive new look.

The model is available in an exclusive Vapor Violet shade, paired with an Iced Black hood and a striking “waft” coachline accenting its lower body.

Complementing its exterior, the car features brand-new 23-inch five-spoke forged aluminum wheels, offered in either a part-polished or fully blacked-out finish.

Inside, the cabin showcases premium carbon-fiber and metallic accents, along with five newly introduced lighting themes.

The dashboard is a true showpiece, incorporating an elaborate display of 5,500 “stars” within a high-gloss Piano Black sky.

Price and Availability

As expected, this high-performance variant commands a higher price than its standard counterpart.

According to Motor1.com, the Black Badge Spectre will start at approximately $490,000—about $50,000 more than the base model.

While Rolls-Royce has yet to announce an official release date, prospective buyers can anticipate its arrival in the near future.
