The Pegasus World Cup 2025 delivered an electrifying performance as six-year-old White Abarrio dominated the $3 million race, crossing the finish line with an impressive six-and-a-half-length lead. Trained by Saffie Joseph Jr. and ridden by the masterful Irad Ortiz Jr., White Abarrio completed the 1⅛-mile course in a remarkable 1:48.05.

Ortiz, securing his third Pegasus victory, showcased expert navigation as he guided White Abarrio from a mid-pack position to a commanding win, leaving no doubt about the horse’s exceptional talent.

With this triumph, White Abarrio silenced any lingering skepticism, cementing his legacy after his 2023 Breeders’ Cup Classic victory. The resounding finish felt like a statement, as if to remind the racing world of his undeniable prowess.

The six-year-old gelding, running at 7-1 odds, completed the 1⅛-mile course on turf in 1:44.50, narrowly missing the track record set by last year’s winner, Warm Heart. Spirit of St. Louis paid $17.80 for his win, delivering another highlight to an already unforgettable day of racing.
