As the 2025 Formula 1 season approaches, car brands are demonstrating their ability to get the adrenaline pumping both on and off the track. The Ferrari F80 shows the mastery and know-how of the Maranello brand. It is simply the most powerful Ferrari.

How is this possible? Because the F80, a supercar with hybrid engine, represents the ultimate in technology and performance from the Ferrari workshops in southern Italy: it reaches 200 km/h in 5.75 seconds. It is also the symbol of an extreme evolution of the internal combustion engine.

More power

The F80 is the most powerful road car Ferrari has ever produced, thanks to its hybrid V6 engine, which has a maximum output of 1,200 horsepower.

Ferrari describes the F80‘s three-liter, 120° V6 F163CF engine as the ultimate expression of the six-cylinder. It develops a maximum output of 900 hp, making it the Ferrari engine with the highest specific power output of all time (300 hp/l).

To the 900 hp are added the 300 hp of the front axle (e-4WD) and the rear engine (MGU-K) of the hybrid system.

As for the electric motors used in the F80, they are the first to be designed, tested and manufactured entirely in Maranello to maximize performance and reduce weight.

Ferrari will build only 799 units of this powerful machine, starting at $3,100,000. And we say “starting” because buyers will be able to add as many features as they wish.

A Ferrari for two

As with all Ferrari supercars, the architecture and design are inspired by Formula 1 and other motorsport technology. For example, the F80 has two seats. The driver’s seat has an ergonomically designed dashboard that creates a wrap-around effect around the driver.

The body is made of pre-impregnated, autoclave-cured carbon fiber using technology derived from Formula 1 and other motorsports.

The F80 also offers three different driving modes: Hybrid, Performance and Qualifying. There is no eDrive mode, as the F80 cannot be driven in pure electric mode, as this is not considered to be in line with the car’s mission.
