Meanwhile, stalwarts like Prada and Giorgio Armani remain the bedrock of this Milan Fashion Week Men’s 2025, ensuring a mix of tradition and innovation.

Carlo Capasa, president of the Camera Nazionale della Moda, underscores the importance of fostering creativity over mere marketing. “Italian creativity and craftsmanship must remain our focus. Marketing alone cannot resolve our challenges,” he remarked, reinforcing the need for innovation during Milan Fashion Week Men’s.

Pitti Uomo: Spotlight on Emerging Designers

Running from January 13 to 16, Pitti Uomo features two standout guest designers this season. MM6 Maison Margiela will showcase its collection on January 15 at the stunning Tepidarium Giacomo Roster in Florence.

Unlike previous guest designers, MM6 operates without a singular public-facing creative lead, emphasizing collective creativity in its contemporary designs.

Meanwhile, Setchu, the Japanese brand helmed by Satoshi Kuwata, will debut on January 16, showcasing its gender-neutral, modular designs that earned it the LVMH Prize in 2023.

The trade show has also become a hub for major activations in recent years. While this season lacks the large-scale spectacles seen in previous editions, brands like Ferragamo will present their craftsmanship with an artisanal demonstration of their iconic Tramezza shoe.

Additionally, the Kering-backed S/Style showroom will challenge emerging talents to create sustainable designs, reinforcing the industry’s commitment to eco-conscious innovation.

Milan Fashion Week Men’s: Tradition Meets Transformation

Scheduled from January 17 to 21, Milan Fashion Week Men’s will feature 16 runway shows and 45 presentations. However, the absence of major brands such as Gucci, Fendi, and JW Anderson raises questions about the event’s vibrancy this season.

Gucci has shifted its focus to co-ed collections during the womenswear calendar, while Fendi and JW Anderson are navigating creative transitions.

Despite these absences, iconic names like Prada, Giorgio Armani, and Zegna remain anchors of Milan Fashion Week Men’s.

Ralph Lauren and Brunello Cucinelli will also contribute to the schedule through presentations, offering a blend of timeless elegance and modern refinement.

Prada, known for setting footwear trends, is expected to unveil designs that could dominate the season, while Zegna continues to redefine menswear under Alessandro Sartori’s leadership.

Emerging talent will also play a pivotal role in revitalizing the week. Designers like Saul Nash and Andrea Grossi will make their Milan debuts, bringing fresh perspectives to the runway.

Additionally, streetwear labels such as PDF and Qasimi promise to introduce bold new narratives to the event.

Looking Ahead

For Carlo Capasa, the energy and creativity of young designers are essential to driving the Italian fashion industry forward.

Delivering dreams is how we reignite consumer enthusiasm,” he stated. As Milan Fashion Week Men’s unfolds, the fusion of tradition and innovation ensures that the event remains a cornerstone of global fashion, reaffirming its status as a must-watch on the calendar. With a focus on both established icons and emerging talents, Milan Fashion Week continues to shape the future of menswear in dynamic and unexpected ways.
