Gucci has transformed the Sweet Bird North Plaza in the Miami Design District into a dazzling winter wonderland with a spectacular installation through January 7.
The Italian brand’s captivating display in Miami’s Design District reimagines the traditional snow globe, transforming it into a gateway to Gucci‘s rich heritage and luxurious artistry.
At the heart of the installation lies a narrative of humble beginnings: young Guccio Gucci working as a porter at London’s iconic Savoy Hotel. Fascinated by the refined luggage of affluent travelers, he found inspiration that would later shape the world-renowned brand.
The installation’s centerpiece is a curated collection of Gucci’s signature trunks and cases, each emblazoned with the iconic GG monogram. These items are presented against intricately crafted miniature replicas of landmarks significant to Gucci’s history, such as the Palazzo Gucci in Florence, the Wooster Street boutique in New York, and flagship locations in Paris and London.
Elevating the experience is a collaboration with contemporary artist Corydon Cowansage. Her vibrant murals bridge the outdoor plaza with Gucci’s boutique, infusing the space with organic, fluid forms in bold hues that seem to dance against soft, pale blue backdrops.
