"Ayiti Toma III: Spiraling, Silence, & Sirenes" at Central Fine

Central Fine offers a refreshing break from the stark white walls of traditional art fairs with its evocative show, “Ayiti Toma III: Spiraling, Silence, & Sirenes.” This exhibition, featuring pink walls and sand-covered floors, focuses on Haitian culture and spirituality, particularly vodou. Curated by Tomm El-Saieh, the show incorporates vèvè prayer sigils, vodou flags, and representations of La Sirene, an ocean deity.

Jaime Hayon at Mindy Solomon

Mindy Solomon Gallery focuses exclusively on Spanish artist Jaime Hayon’s exhibition “Bestial” during Art Basel, departing from its usual multi-show approach. Hayon’s work combines sculpture and painting, bringing to life a whimsical collection of animals inspired by art history. His colorful and imaginative creations promise to enchant visitors with their playful yet sophisticated designs. The show continues through January 4, 2025. Visit Mindy Solomon Gallery, 848 NW 22nd St., Miami; 786-953-6917.
