Art Exhibitions in Miami During November 2024
This November, Miami is hosting an array of exciting new exhibitions featuring renowned artists such as José Parlá, Andrea Chung, and Jacqueline de Jong.

Kateryna Lysovenko at Voloshyn Gallery
Voloshyn Gallery, located in Allapattah, is currently exhibiting the work of Ukrainian artist Kateryna Lysovenko. Titled “The Sea Doesn’t Forget It’s Free,” this show delves into the dehumanizing aspects of mythology through haunting figurative paintings that blend the fantastical and the unsettling.
The exhibition is open through Thursday, November 28, at Voloshyn Gallery, 802 NW 22nd St., Miami; 786-461-5800; voloshyngallery.art.
Andrea Chung and Smita Sen at the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami
The Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami, highlights the work of two female artists: Andrea Chung and Smita Sen. Chung’s exhibition, “Between Too Late and Too Early,” reflects on slavery and its enduring effects, using sugar as a central material. Meanwhile, Smita Sen’s “Embodied” explores dance as an artistic practice.
Both exhibitions will remain open through April 6, 2025, at the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami, 770 NE 125th St., North Miami; 305-893-6211; mocanomi.org. Tickets range from $5 to $10, with free admission for North Miami residents and children under 12.
“Mirror of the Mind” at El Espacio 23
El Espacio 23 returns with an exhibition exploring the profound relationship between the mind and the body through figuration. Featuring works by Shirin Neshat, Carrie Mae Weems, Jared McGriff, Anselm Kiefer, and others, the show is divided into six themes and utilizes various media.

Mariana Ferrari at Tomas Redrado Gallery
Ahead of its participation in NADA Miami, Tomas Redrado Gallery presents large-scale paintings by Argentine artist Mariana Ferrari. Her abstract and gestural approach offers commentary on Latin American identity.

José Parlá at Pérez Art Museum Miami
The Pérez Art Museum Miami welcomes “Homecoming,” an exhibition by renowned artist José Parlá. Raised in Miami, Parlá showcases abstract works inspired by his recovery from a severe bout with COVID. Additionally, PAMM will debut a mural by British artist Hurvin Anderson and a portrait collection by Kate Capshaw on November 21.
